Maribelle Ghanem combines a strong academic foundation with practical experience in corporate, commercial, and business law.
She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business Law with Merit from the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS), Queen Mary University of London, where she was elected by her peers as Student and Course Representative.
Her dissertation, awarded Distinction, explored Digital Arbitration and Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) in Cross-Border Intellectual Property and E-Commerce Disputes, reflecting her interest in the evolving legal landscape of international commerce, technology, and dispute resolution.
As a Junior Associate at Ghanem Law Firm and a Qualified Trainee Lawyer admitted to the Beirut Bar Association since 2024, Maribelle assists in drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, preparing legal pleadings, conducting legal research, supporting corporate transactions, and advising on regulatory and contractual matters. She also participates in client consultations, contract negotiations, and court proceedings.
Her professional experience is complemented by legal internships across different practice areas, including family law, where she assisted in matters relating to marital status and divorce, participated in spousal reconciliation procedures, and prepared marital agreements. She has also participated in legal clinics and contributed to QLegal, the award-winning commercial law clinic at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London, where she was chosen to work on legal design projects supporting startups and entrepreneurs.
Maribelle has completed specialized training in arbitration through the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Paris, and has a particular interest in international business law, corporate and commercial law, alternative dispute resolution, digital commerce and cross-border legal matters.
